| Some people do pretty well with Ebay. They sell used clothes and stuff that they are not using anymore that seem to sell pretty well. |

| In regards to the ebay thing- I find it touch and go. Sometimes I sell something I thought was worthless for big money- then sometimes something I'm sure will sell- doesn't sell at all! You've just got to stick with it- however, with higher ebay fees lately- it's a little tougher than it once was. |

I agree that ebay can be unpredictable. Also the fees do really add up particularly if you take paypal payment and doing it can be a hassle. However when I sell lots of realtively low value items the profit adds up quite well. The last time I had a real effort on it I took around $600 towards my daughter's first Disney trip and we had a lot less clutter wasting space in the house |

I've noticed with Ebay that I have been under estimating my shipping and that has eaten into my profits. I need to start weighing the item after it is packaged. Sometimes the shipping looks so expensive, but when you consider weight and packing materials it IS expensive.
I save money by staying out of the stores...I'm an impulse buyer. |

I actually cant setup an ebay account. They say i need a credit card which i cant aquire so there is no way for me to sell.
The other option would be yahoo,...but then again yahoo is not that popular |

| I have had good luck with barely used childrens dresses (that originally were very expensive and hardly used) and books. Both can ship fairly inexpensively: toddler clothes in a manilla envelope and books go for the cheaper media rate. |

| I would like to start selling on ebay but I have no clue how to find things to sell. My mom throws everything out as soon as I dont "need" it anymore. Should I be looking at garage sales for kids clothes and stuff? Any collectors items sell particularly well that I should be picking up? And how much should I be spending for these items? |

| I've sold a few things that were big ticket items. I've posted clothes and low end items but they haven't sold at all. I seems such a hassel to take the pictures, download, write descriptions etc for the low end clothing items. |

| Well another option apart from e-bay would always be uhmm,....yahoo or amazon. Both have their pros and cons......but as Ebay owns PayaPal i tend to use ebay,... |

| I've been buying and selling on ebay for three years now. If you start, you will be hooked. It's amazing what sells and what doesn't. Boutique children's clothes sell well. It's amazing that used clothing sometimes sells for more than new clothing. |

Hey there,..
I totally agree. Ebay is a very good way to make cash,....and amazon too,... or if you trade e-currecy for others too... |

I have been selling on ebay for a few months now...sometimes I get a few sales at a time, and others, nothing, wasted fees. I wish I could get a better flow of things, but it is hard to tell what will sell and what will not. I have been giving great deals, and hardly any bites...anyone interested look for auctions by cindyann808, most are ending in 16-17 hours.... |
