Due to popular demand, each member's total net worth is now displayed on the member listing. It seemed that since most folks that requested it also wanted it to be sortable, there was one compromise made: the net worth on the member listing only updates once a day.
The net worth on your profile will be current, as will the net worth over to the left of the posts that you make. But in order to make the field sortable, the value has to be pre-calculated, so it's done during the same script that awards your interest earned by your e$ balance. Oh, and your net worth is calculated after you get your interest.  Every little penny helps, right?
If you look tonight, you will see that most of the net worth values are zero, as the script has not run yet. Tomorrow (Wednesday) you should see everyone's net worth updated. |

Wrote and ran an extra script to update everyone's net worth. I hated seeing everyone set to zero. Before anyone asks, the net worth script is not intended to run more often than once daily. Remember that your net worth as displayed on your profile screen and next to your posts is calculated on the fly each time, so they are always 100% up-to-date.
There is a disclaimer on the bottom of the member listing detailing the net worth calculation frequency. |
