Pacific Ethonal Inc. is up 5+% the last couple of days. I'm thinking Oil/Refining and alternative fuels is the way to go for the next couple of weeks.

Very volitile prices right now. Now why weren't we talking about these companies after Katrina hit last summer? Wink

I think they will still go more......oil shows no signs of letting up on rising prices.

Tru nuff! Of course Cramer did an entire Completely Insane Muny show on eh-tha-naaawl this past Mon. If you remember....about 2 days after NOLA flooded Cramer devoted an entire show to why natgas was going to $20! LOL I think fokes will be soooprised when they see how quickly PEIX and ANDE give up 40% of their currrent values. A pump from Cramer is certain death. Also, let's see how far GOOG falls now that he got fokes back in at $413 a day or so before the earnings news. Last time he said to buy at $393 and sell at $330. Amazing how all of the stock mawket geniuses can lose $$$ in a stock that is supposed to be in a long term uptrend like GOOG....isn't it? Laughing

I would agree that these alt.energy stocks are very volatile and they will have big swings. But I think they will have an overall upward trend for the whole summer.

Welcome to da club! You are among da VVVM, very vocal vast majority! That's gotta make ya noivous. Shocked BTW, Cramer's take on natgas made complete logical sense. Natgas "should have" worked its way higher during the winter heating months so I guess it twasn't Jim's fault that he was proven about as wrong as wrong can be. Weird...I can't figure it out. Very Happy

I don't either, but he keeps interfering with my stock picks and I have to go look at what he says about'em when he does or risk getting clobbered and if he drives the price up I just note where the stock was before he mentioned it and play it like it's still there until the dust settles.
