Hello everyone, my name is Jack and I'm a college senior and will be graduating in the spring with a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Management. I would like to get into investment banking but a degree in finance would have set me up for that better I think. I would say that I know a fair bit about financial analysis of a company but I know nothing about the day to day operations of the stock market so that is why I am here.

What are some tools that you guys/gals use to identify potential investments? I have been fiddling around with Yahoo finance a bit but I havent had time to really get into depth like I want to. I need to know how to invest the e$ i will get from this and future posts. More importantly I need to know how to invest the real $ i get from my job but e$ is much easier to earn...

Use the Yahoo stock screener found here:
http://screen.finance.yahoo.com/newscreener.html

From that you should be able to narrow the possibilities down to only a handful, and the companies you get should all be of fairly high quality if you use the right criteria.

Two possible screens (and one variation) have already been posted by myself and jdunn, they are in another forum topic you can access here:

I am relatively new as well. This is the best place to be and it is very exiting to take part in the market especially since you can learn without the risk!
