Once again I find einvesting to be a great investing site and here's why.
A few months back cramer had a stock simulator set up for competition to win a guest apperance on his show. The sim they had up was a piece of junk. slow trades and wouldn't accept all the stocks you wanted to trade even if they were +$10.00 stocks. Very disappointed with it and emailed them to tell them how I felt.
Now swuakbox (also cnbc affiliate) has a competition with a simulator set-up and it is just as bad as cramer's was. You would expect a big buck outfit like cnbc would have a kick a$$ sim. but neither one comes close to the quality and personal touch we have here and it's getting better all the time. |

I haven't used either of those sims before, but I did try marketwatch's sim, and compared to this it was so horribly slow, bogged down, and not very user-friendly overall in my view.
Ben runs an awesome site, Dave's coding rocks, and the people that make this community are amazing! I've already learned a lot from all of you!
I was extremely happy to find a link to here on their forum, as I was getting ready to find another simulator! I definitely think that the e$ incentive to post a link here around the web is a major asset for this community! |

Thanks emkie! I have said it before and I'll say it again. This site is awesome! Even though I'm a 2%er . |

i have to agree...although i have not checked out squawkbox's sim, i feel that the einvesting sim is great and its only getting better thanks to all of the work being put into it and the collective.
I also use investopedia's sim, but I like it here better than investopedias' sim because ours is cheaper commissions, and i feel like its faster and there is never any downtime or slow loading or anything. the only thing i like better about investopedia is obviously the trading methods available, but thats really it! In all honesty i use investopedia's sim to track many of my potential einvesting portfolio holdings. If they look good over there after owning them for a bit, i will bring em over here doing so also allows me to establish a good entry point for the purchase here.
[EDIT]I forgot to mention that even though i like the trading methods of investopedia, i know that einvesting is progressing to eventually offer those as well. I really like it here and I know its only going to be better and better

I looked at the CNBC Squawkbox portfolio, and it only lets your trades be executed at one point each day... lame?
I've used the Investopedia simulator, and I think the interface is bad... its too unwieldy to easily make trades. Also, the quote tracking is even worse than the interface, with the prices you get being all over the place.
Maybe I'm biased, but I like the eInvesting simulator more than anything else because its simple and easy to use, and with the new features that are always getting added, I'm optimistic about how large our community will grow. |

I agree with everything written above.
I tried the Squawkbox thing and it's aggravating.
eInvesting is great and has gone a long way in a short time. |

| I am in the squawk box thing and it does a bad job overall the guy who is leading is performing remarkably well though he has over 1.5 million is a 2 week span I believe. Anyways it is an iteresting contest but they definetly have to inprove the quality. You don't see returns or see any highlights on how the stock is performing for your portfolio it is not very good at all |

If there is ever something you see on another site that you think we should copy, let us know. We can't use their code but there's nothing that says we can't be inspired by good ideas. |

| If you want to increase the number of people on your site that post an advertisement on Facebook. It's mostly comprised of college students form all over. It's the 7th most visited site on the internet and I would say prob. 60% of college students that wanted to participate in something like this to learn how to trade stocks would sign up immediately. |
