Rio Doce. Cramer seems to be loving it. What's everyone's thoughts on it?

It seems to be on it's way up. Maybe it's the wrong time to buy? (Too late perhaps?)

I really don't know much about the Steel & Iron industry to be honest. But this company seems to be heavily into hydroelectric as well which I think will be a big energy source worldwide soon.

Oh, please don't take it that way. Smile It's just that you'll often get more responses if you give people something to talk about, at least that's my experience. I gave you a good long answer to your dividend question in another one of your topics. Wink

I think something notable that has been neglected to be mentioned so far is that Alcoa (AA) just turned in a steller earnings performance, which should serve to really kick off earnings season on a bullish note. Alcoa's size and position makes it the bellwether of the basic materials sector. I know that Alcoa's report caused a sizable jump in Alcan (AL) stock as investors have higher expectations for another aluminum company.
As everyone probably knows from the BRIC hype, the Brazilian market is scorching hot, and the aluminum sector especially is on the upswing of its cycle. That is why I think now is the time to be very wary about entering into those types of stocks - can you say top of the bubble?
