Due to the rash of recent posts where members have been copying and pasting large amounts of information to unfairly up their e$ we have an official new rule.
-Copied text may consist of a maximum of 2 paragraphs (Admin and Moderator discretion as to actual size) and must contain a link to where the info came from (Source).
Failure to comply will mean your post deleted and a 5,000 e$ fine imposed on your account.
This is for the good of all at eInvesting...thanks for your cooperation!

| I concur. This is the best solution to the problem, considering how tempting it is to the scum who just post Wikipedia.org articles (which, according to Wikipedia.com is "a free online encyclopedia free to the general public.") on Mutual Funds and other investing. It is a slap in the face to we honest posters who willingly type original and interesting perspectives on forum issues. Then there is always the question of random idiots going around in forums and typing such one word answers as "Yes, Yeah, and/or Giddyup." Thank you for correcting this atrocity. |

| I'm new here, so I have yet to experience anyone pasting information like that. But I can see how it'd be a problem. So I understand how this can help to alleviate such an issue. I guess it's really the only sensible way to deal with something like that. |

Good idea - particuarly about including the source.
I don't mind someone including an interesting few lines, but a whole story without the source is a little much. |

Yeah.

I agree with the clamp down on people who abuse the system but I don't agree with using the above terminology directed towards some members who may not be aware of our policies. IMHO |

| Good idea. I mean, I like to post something to earn a few extra e$ but just to post for the sake of making a post seems ridiculous to me. If I have something to say or a legitimate question I will post. I don't normally do a lot of posting on other forums I belong to due to my introverted personality. I do think its a good idea to earn money by posting though. It has kind of helped bring me out of my shell so to speak. Some of these people who try to exploit the system make no sense to me. The point is to see how well you fare. You're only cheating yourself. |
