Sorry for bitching but it seems like if your on the west coast, you dont get the same opportunities to participate as everyone else.

Hey, I sympathize with you but, I think this is really an International site now, as quite a few members and akh098 in particular are from the other side of the planet, so really I guess it would only be fair to post these types of games with more than a 24hr advance notice what do you guys think?

It also doesnt help with the way the E Incentives forum looks. It's a mess with all the stickys that you have to look real hard for something new.

Yeah, I think that's a good point... I went through and "un-stickied" a bunch of topics a while back, but didn't get a chance to confirm anything with Benjamin before going further...

Is there a way to have a sub forum within this forum? You could have all the permanent stickeys in the sub forum (or is it subfolder). I think I was able to do that on a forum I ran once before.

Subforums are not a standard feature of phpBB2. I've written a version of sub-forums for one board, and it sucks Smile so it's not been used anywhere else. I'm working on getting some time to rewrite it. But you're correct, there are announcements on that forum that are for "expired" contests and probably could be set back to normal topics.

As an alternative, there could be a forum for expired contests and a forum for active contests (or incentives) so that you could still read about the old contests and see who won and what was discussed, but there would be a smaller list of active incentives in a specific forum.

Another thing is that it's way down at the bottom, that last place I would look, so I guess thats my fault or problem......

Off this topic, can we have a stock pickers challnge that doesnt involve penny stocks Rolling Eyes or some severely long term game that nobody pays attention to? A monthly stock pickers challenge would be nice.

Do you see the link that says View posts since last visit on the index? That's the best way to ensure you don't miss anything.

No, nevermind i will just shut up since you have the answer to all my questions.

The monthly contest is about the portfolio's percentage not just one stock and how it will do. The percentages are not correct in the monthly game anyway.......

I dont know why I even bother to make suggestions..... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Dave you have an arrogant "You should have known" attitude about people asking questions or pointing out something they dont like.

It's really irritating........

i think thats a good idea, i see what you mean, it could be a contest exaclty like the weekly stock pickers challenge, only up the price range from say $5-$10 or something like that with a minimum volume. it could go by the week, month, whatever...

vetelmo you should start it! im sure benjamin wouldnt mind paying the winners just like he does now with the weekly stockpickers challenge
