I save for college in my name instead of children's names. There is an excellent book called "Saving for College without going broke". Has anyone else read?

I am definately going to have to check that book out. I have 3 kids to send to college and need all the help I can get. What is the difference in putting the account in your name or your child's?

So by saving in your name, your children would still be eligible for scholarships and financial aid? If you saved in their name would they be penalized for having a certain amount of money? It sounds like that would be the case. Interesting!

I would like to get the book too! Thanks for sharing this information! Smile
