Well, in-home child care would be an option. Maybe only taking in teachers kids, that way you would have summer and school vacations off. I know people who "secret shop". In some cases you can bring your children with you. Tutoring kids after school, if you have the background in a specific area (foreign language, math, etc.).
Not too many unique ideas, but it may be a starting point. |

| Thank you. There are so many people I know who are looking to stay home more. We all seem to hear about "working from home" but I would love to hear even more ideas. |

| How about a personal shopper, or errand runner. In my area those jobs ~ under a variety of "names" ~ are in more and more demand. This is where you are basically hired to be a person's personal assistant on a temporary basis. You do their errands, pick up packages, buy clothes and gifts, etc. At a quite nice hourly rate. (Some people have called this "rent-a-wife"!!!) |

I've been thinking about becoming a Personal Chef. I love to cook but do not have any formal training.
I have seen courses online for around $800. Anyone know about this? |

| A friend had a very obscure home-based business. He was a dog walker and would also take care of dogs when their owners went out of town. In addition, we had a "pooper scooper" business. Yes, he would go to homes 2 times per week and pick up the droppings. It was very successful for him and allowed him the means to start his dream business. |

| I am a lowly college student who would love to come up with something to make some money. I am great with computers (self-proclaimed) and I would not mind teaching new pc users how to navigate windows and the web and stuff but I dont know where to market this. Any ideas? |

| In the last couple of days I've been looking around. I've seen resume services- and along the lines of the chef- some people who have a home based business by cooking meals and having them ready when you get home from work! For a lot less than ordering in and healthier too. Now, only if I could cook... |

| I have signed up for secret shopping but nothing is available in my area. I have signed up for surveys too but never "qualify". Seems like a very slow way to make any money. |

I finally found a shopping opportunity for my area. I was all excited then saw the "pay". $8. Now the assignment is for a game store. I have to purchase something in the store which is part of my $8.
That sure isn't worth it. Thats no way to "make" money. |

| I have looked into the secret shopper. It's not really a way of making a lot of money- just usually getting your dinner or the small purchase you make paid for. It sounded like fun, but just not what I was looking for when I was looking. |
