Here's my plan for when i retire.
Hopefully when i retire i will be finacially sound ofr the rest of my life and to support my fmaily if the occasional problem occured to any one of them.
To do this i aim to save in a different bank to my spare spendable money.
Hopefully the job im aming for in computing will pay off for effort put into it for the last 4 years and more to come and the type of job around here is well paid.
I dont realyl intend to do what most people do here in the UK is when they retire they always plan to move to foreign shores.
hope my plan pans out |

| I plan on to continually build business, each one being bigger that the last, then eventually living of the income i am earning from my portfolio of companies. Heaps of people laugh at me when i say this, but i know i have the ability to do this. |

| Your lucky you have a plan. I dont have one at all. I will probably just retire and make money by doing some real estate investing. |

| Fortunately, my DH's company has a great retirement plan. I let him take care of that. I guess that's a little blind of me. |

Here's my plan to be comfortable in my retirement years:
Pay off my house, prepay kids college funds, live frugally, invest as much as possible, stay out of debt. |

My plan includes making sure kids college is paid for, and that my DH and I have enough extra $$ to travel. Our kids are 5 & 7, so we have a ways to go!
We each have a pension plan (although DH's company just discontinues his), both put $$ into a 403(B), have college savings accounts that we put into monthly, and DH "tries" his best with with a very small stock portfolio at e-trade. |

| I'm a teacher in the UK and could have access to a very reliable govt funded pension but since beginning to work on a supply basis I have let it lapse from pure procrastination. Retirement feels like something to worry about later but I suspect the time to focus on it should be now while there is still time to make a difference. |

| Retirement plan is hard to think about when you have your daily expenses and our generation tends to live for the day>which may be a good thing as you never know! But we do need to make plans for our future as our tiny bit we will get form the government(if we get it) will not be enought to feed clothe and give us shelter. So my pLAN IS THE HOUSE WILL BE PAID OFF, WE HAVE RRSP"S my husband does have a pension from work also! And ofcouse a lottery would help! |

I'd be in favour of the lottery approach as well. |

| 401K seems like a great way to go. If you save for years hopefully from the time that you start working it really adds up. I'm hoping that we will be able to live without wondering where our next meal is coming from. |
