| I think IPO's are great High-Risk investments. VLCM is the one I would go with, because it has the widest range of all the other IPO's. What is your guys opinions? |

Well, here I go learing something. I thought an IPO was an IPO...not that were different IPO's.
Initial Public Offering...should be what a stock is worth to begin with right? |

| Seems like a gamble that is for sure. I bet a lot has to do with rumors and such and when someone big jumps so does everyone else. At least until the actual numbers come out... |

| i read over 80 pecent of IPO's drop in the first 12 months. but then you have to look at google to, but i beleive they didnt use an underwriter, many different things to look at when considereing, is it a new company or a private company going public? just depends |

I guess the risk depends whether it is a new company with unproven track record that may take awhile to show positive cash flow, or an existing proven company adding shares for capital expansion.
Not sure what assets you generally need to get in on an IPO, but Fidelity requires $500k aggregate equities/cash to participate in traditional IPOs, or $100k for OpenIPOs, plus 36 trades/yr. total for however many accounts you have there. That is too rich for me yet (only a few months stock experience).
I bet there are some people who got in on the Refco IPO that wish they hadn't. |

| Is investing in a companies IPO really a profitable thing to do? Also how does the price of the IPO go. Say back in the late 1990's when a stock would start trading at 3 times its IPO. Would you be able to get the IPO at 13 a share and then sell it at the open for 50 or could you end up getting it at somewhere in between? |

Same thing happens In Indian markets right now. Indian market have started its bull run which can continue for next 15 years delivering great returns for investors.
IPO opening at 2x, 3 x and within a month touching normally 4x its IPO price. |

| I have a question about the Indian market. What is the cause for this Bull market and why do you belive it could last for 15 years? In the American markets Bull markets are always follwed by bear markets which coorect the market. Is the Indian Market so underpriced right now that a bull market can continue for that long? |
