I am somewhat confused by this. Are you saying that you no longer invest using the same style that you managed to gain 1150% return in 9 months? |

Well, I'm a little late updating but we're moving into the weekend, so you have 48 hours to digest whats happening.
Today I did not make any moves to change my portfolio holdings. I watched RIMM, IBM, GS (Goldman Sachs), N (Inco), and TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor) all make very solid advancements, the rest of my portfolio was up slightly, but those stocks carried the day. I am grappling with taking my first loss on GPIC, I've held that for quite a while and it hasn't treated me well... but thats a DCF mystery for another day. I have about 10,000 e$ in GPIC, and I am giving it one more week to impress me. As of now, most is quiet, but I expect to be making moves in the next week. |

| A warning on unloading GPIC. It is a very volitile stock so I would be careful when you unload it since you may lose out on 5% unloading it at the wrong time during the day. |

I've noticed, its another stock with a very small float that trades sporadically. At least my shares don't have any impact on the market, and with the infrequency of trading the 20 minute delay may be essentially rendered useless. I'm still undecided on dumping it, could it be another TSM? More on that allusion later. |

| When you bought it I remember we said it was a very long term play. What are you basis for wanting to unload it? New developements that you did not factor into the original reasons for buying? Or are you just uneasy with the fact that at the current moment you are taking some big losses on it? |

| Whatever happened to melansion? Any way we can get him to answer because I am really interested to hear about his new tactics that he uses. |

Its actually back around $11, so I'm not out that much. A few percentage points.
And I think I'm just being impatient, so I'm going to hang on to it because:
1. I don't lose money
2. My DCF model is right
3. I am the champion of wishful thinking and self-serving arguments.
I'll keep you updated, I'm having some computer-related issues lately. |

| Think the downgrades on RIMM will continue? I am debating whether to hold until the court case is resolved or when the stock hits 85. Today they did announce news that they have a deal with Google to have google text messaging,g-mail,google earth, and other google features on all blackberries. The article in the Wall Street Journal today talking about the court case and the possible shut down of the stock did not help matters though. I am interested to see you take on the current situation. |

My only portfolio update is that I am taking about 1/4 of my stake in Inco (N) off the table. It shot up nearly 2% in after-hours and I am looking to collect a small profit on those shares, which I bought at a higher price than the remainder I will still be holding.
I'm going to look into making a few new moves and branching out, but I don't really have anything that comes to mind.

I think you know I don't put much thought into what analyst's are saying about upgrades vs. downgrades. I will be sure to relay as much of the information I get from Research in Motion when I call... I'm actually kind of excited about that. I'm considering giving them a ring right after my Economics exam, so if you keep pace and copy like the bright kid I know you are, you might get to listen in. |

| It is an essay that they already gave us so I see no need for any copying. |

This is why we are falling behind the Japanese. Really, we already have our exam essay.
I'm assuming you've looked at them, I haven't, but then again, I just walk in cold and ace the test because "thats how I roll". |

| I'm feeling the need to shift how I manage my investments here. I've been looking over my portfolio, and I realize that companies I actually like are all up several percent, while the ones I threw in to round it out are basically stagnant. So from this point further, I will not have more than 8 (eight) stocks. Lets see who the candidates to get cut are... |

| I found its too hard to keep up with more than 10 stocks (which I believe should be the maximum) 5-8 would be ideal in my opinion. |
