I have a small home based business, that is actually a second job for me. It does not provide a steady income, but does provide some extra. I am also able to have a nice tax write-off, since I have space dedicated in my home to the business. Any other who have small businesses they run out of their homes? How does it work for you?

I have a small business, it is currently taking a loss..ahem! Rolling Eyes But big plans for the future!

My issues involve time management since I also have a full time job.

I had a web development company with a brother of mine for 4 years. We did write off any milage on the car when meeting with clients as well as our office space.

We own a small business from home. IT is service related. The phone lines come into my home, I answer them and dispatch my husband who is on the road. It works well for us and we can be more reasonably priced for the customers.

eInvesting Admin, I have to agree when it comes to time management and a home based business. Since I also work outside of the home, time is a precious commodity! I try to schedule "work time" when I am home, but it never seems to work out as planned. [/code]

I have a home based business, was actually in my house (2 rooms of it) and then we placed 2 buildings on our property and moved out to those. I love it being close and it works well for us and our type of business, but I must admit my life has been simplified since I moved it to the buildings.

What are some of the home businesses that you guys or gals have? Just curious as to what direction some of you have gone.

Now that would be fun. I just don't have the capital to start doing it ... nor the knowledge currently that I feel I need.
