Some of the other games here are, well, silly. Smile This one is silly too, but at least you get to learn a little bit about your fellow eInvestor members along the way. Here's how it works. The first person (that would be me in this case) posts a statement that can be answered TRUE or FALSE. The next person to post answers that question, then posts one of their own. The topic keeps going with TRUE or FALSE questions and answers.

On one of the boards that I run someone started a topic like this. That topic now has 1090 replies (a record for that board) and is almost one year old. Let's see how we can do.

The next person to post things that this game will be fun, and is looking forward to learning a little bit about their fellow members.

Lets see if I understand this right,

Ill post a statement that is true or false such as

The Texas stated flag is the only STATE flag that can fly at the same level as the the American flag

And now someone will answer true of false and then make there own question?

No, you were supposed to answer my question, then make one of your own. Very Happy It's not supposed to be a trivia question (although I guess it could be).

Let me put a simulated run of posts, and we'll take if from there.

First post:
Quote:
The next person to post has green hair.

Second post (answer the question in the previous post then post a new one)
Quote:
False
The next person to post plays a musical instrument

Third post:
Quote:
True! I play the piano, guitar, and saxaphone

The next person to post is allergic to something unusual

Fourth post:
Quote:
True! I am allergic to beer... Shocked

The next person to post ... (insert something here)

Does that help it make sense? I apologize if I didn't explain the game well enough...

kind of true...i know some say that leasing is a waste of money, but i change my mind so much that after 3-4 years im ready for a new car, and not at all into paying an increasing amount of money for something that is going to essentially decrease in value, and cost me a lot more than what it is actually worth.

glad i justified that one...

the person below me can tell me how trading and IRA's work together? Very Happy

hmmm, did some actual investing discussion creep into this "fun" topic? Laughing Leasing is often a better choice if you don't put a lot of miles on a car and you always want to drive something new.

True! Or sort of, assuming I understand the question. When you trade actively in a non-IRA account you end up paying higher short-term gains tax rates. In an IRA where earnings are tax-deferred or tax-exempt you can trade actively without tax considerations.

The next person to post has an unusual hobby. Shocked
