Hey, Fever Pitch was a good movie, don't knock it.

... ok, the movie itself wasn't that great, but the underlying subject matter makes it bearable.
And I think this is going to involve some $$$

Yeah, she's fine with the movie thing. I wonder if I should ask savings bond man what to get her for her birthday (thats just over a month away). And we need to go to the Tiffany store to get it sized, she is quite excited about that, because I guess she's never been.

Most people our age aren't half as GQ as I am.

And the mystique of the Tiffany store is overrated, the people inside are basically normal. The saleslady I was with described herself as having "ghetto style" because she put the clasp on the wrong link... now it was like a couple thousand dollar diamond bracelet, but you get the idea. The guy at the front (who I assume is there to stop anyone trying to steal stuff, you could tell he was jacked even with a suit on) was also cool, he knew I was there to get something for my girlfriend and showed me what to look for. They're good people, its what I expected.

Bad investment tie-in: They are publicly traded!

Giving her Tiffany stock instead of Tiffany jewelry would cause some hurt feelings, especially when she realizes what the stock is worth (if shes as savvy as you say she is). I have it being nearly perfectly valued following this years appreciation of approx. 15%. I wouldn't say its a bad company, but I also wouldn't give it any ringing recommendation. You can do better. I'm saying that if you're willing to go to Tiff's then its guaranteed she'll like it, getting a present from there is like the Showtime from Ronco - "Set it and forget it". I absolutely love that infomerical.

I never knew that Cramer was homeless at one point - thats kind of sketch for someones whos presently a multi-millionaire. I guess if you read the book, you come to understand that the guy is all around shady, although he does have quite a following and is an after-hours force to be reckoned with.

This is not about who likes him or not, nor is this about his net worth. All I really was talking about was Cramer's merits as a stock picker.

And just because you have alot of money doesn't mean you are above criticism. Wink

According to that since they were tracking him he is up 4.14%. The problem with that website is his picks are often not supposed to be held for longer then a week or two.

He doesn't actually tell you when to sell does he? If not, then its just conjecture as to what he would do.
