OK, I have seen this used more and more frequently. Apparently it is a sarcastic term referring to foreign pronunciations of words, such as might be used in stylized anime, like so-called "cat girl" speak. This would include doing things like adding "-nyan" to the end of a given name.

Can anybody help me with this phrase and concept?
