Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and very sorry if this topic exists already.
But I'd like to hear your opinion on this one.
Vix Index which is the measure of the volatility for the SPX500 Index is extremely high right now. I guess that it was around 54 on Friday. Comparing to 15-20 which is Vix used to be before this automn.
So, how would you profit form this situation? Especially I am curious to hear you opinions in terms of options trading. We all know that options are worth more when the volatility is high.
In my opinion buying spreads is would be the best strategy in current market conditions. However, how would you finance it? Would you sell some options?
Or maybe you would go with spreads?
