| It is a stock that pays dividends quarterly or yearly. |

According to some experts they are in vogue right now. If you had piles of money they would definitely be worth investing in, a steady in flux of capital gains would beat most investment strategies as most of us know. Sure you can hit a big winner now and then but try and keep the pace up! |

| Many investors enjoy dividend stocks because they are guaranteed a payout on a regular basis that they can then invest into the market for more dividend stocks, which will bring them greater gains in the future. Then at some point in the future, they can decide to start using the dividends elsewhere as they see fit. It's a great way to gain money from the market without having to cash out their holdings. |

A) Dividends a taxed at 15% vs 35% on gains generated by a stocks value increasing.
B) Investing your dividends back into the stock that generated it (dividend re-investment) works like compound interest at a bank, with the benefit (or backlash) of the principal growing (or dropping) independently
C) Dividend stocks have been gaining in popularity because of the rocky economy, the guarantee of a dividend whether the stock value grows or drops (dividends help offset loss) is appealing to many. |

| An easy way to get a diversified investment in dividend stocks is through ETFs. One of my favorites for dividends is DVY. |

| I like PEY, it has declined in the last couple months which makes it a great time to buy in at a discount. |
