I am looking for opinions on MDT (medtronics). I used to watch it all the time and actually bought some a while ago. I haven't watched it for about 5 yrs now and was wondering about people's opinions on it. Any advice would be great

I am no expert (2 yrs self-investing). But I don't see anything compelling that would make me rush out to buy it. Even though it has had positive earnings surprises the past 4 quarters, it has been going sideways since last November.

Maybe if you are a daytrader or swing trader you could take advantage of the stops and spikes. But the only gain a buy and holder would have in the past 8 months is the dividend.
