I was so frustrated because when i started this i was losing money and it seemed like no matter who i talked to i did what they said and nothing happened immediately. i took 3 days off and i when i come back i have made up the loses and am now back in the black......go figure. I guess you just have to be patient sometimes. |

Patience is required for any kind of investing. Like INWB likes to say on here, and he's right, "Don't expect the markets to be an ATM," it takes time and research to do well. Don't feel bad, I only invest e$ because I'm a college student, but when I first joined the site I lost ~10% in the first 2 weeks and have worked my way back ever since. |

So far it looks like you are doing quite well this month. The great part about the simulator is that you can try investing without spending your own money... and as you go you will learn a ton and become more comfortable ... so that you can do the real thing at some point!

| the key is perserverance and research. this is a great site to learn the basics. I also play on www.youngmoney.com However, I have my doubts to its validity. it had a guy for one month saying that he enjoyed a 900% return is that possible? |

Agreed.

Absolutely. If we could options trade, leverage, or use penny stocks (as I'm sure Grim would note), you would see some seemingly-absurd numbers that would make you rich if you could repeat it once or twice. Now, the same is true to the downside - there would also be a bunch of people who lose 75% or more in a month. Remember geometric probability: if your monthly returns are 200%, 100%, 150%, and 0% in that order, then you have lost everything. |

If you go all in each time, sure! |
