Is anyone here a member? We are. Check out: www.upromise.com

There are some ways to earn a good chunk of change if you are aware of your options in advance. Buying certain vehicles, buying or selling a house, airmiles.

The loyalty program is a good one. It all adds up!

Thanks for the interesting link. From the look of the website you need to be US resident. Do you know if this is definitely the case?

We are members. I find that it is slow building, but if it is for things that I am already buying, I figure every little bit helps!!

Converting frequent flyer miles to Upromise contributions helped push up our account. I wish I had known about the big ticket items in advance. It would've influenced our purchasing decisions.

The grocery and drugstore purchases are slow going, but it's free money. I'm always looking for a way to maximize our savings on purchases we have already planned to make. I learned my lesson on missing out on a few big ones!

I've been a member for several years. It is slow to add up but hopefully since the kids are young it will grow over the years.

I have been a member for a few years now and though it takes time, every little bit helps. I figure I'll be buying that stuff anyway so why not? Although there have been times at the grocery store where I'll see the UPromise sticker and purchase that item because of it even if I hadn't originally planned on it. Does your store use these stickers?

One more thing - be sure you keep your accounts updated. I forgot to update my credit cards for a couple months after they expired, which wasn't an issue for those cards that kept the same account numbers. But my husband's and my check card account numbers change whenever a new card is issued, whether it's lost/stolen or simply expired. So we missed out on some transactions until I realized what had happened.

Just an FYI so you don't lose any potential savings.

Almost forgot - I've since had my mom join as well. It took me a while to convince her because she is skeptical about these things. I'm not sure she's linked any accounts yet, but her grocery store has advertised UPromise, so that helps her feel more comfortable. It's a nice surprise to see a little extra in my account because of her purchases.

Be sure to link your family and friends to your account. You can add grocery store cards, credit cards, etc. to your UPromise Account. For example, my son's godmother has her accounts linked to us since she does not have any kids.

Be aware that the car manufactures are no longer part of Upromise...I was hoping they were as we need ??2?? cars soon. UPromise does have a credit card that you get I believe 1% of all purchases on back into your account.

Thanks for the update!

Man, that was a great incentive. I'm sorry they did away with that! I wonder how long that's been gone? It used to have a big GM section.

I find UPromise to be extremely slow in building savings. We've been members for about two years and only have $50 in it? We have our credit cards registered and the only money that seems to be deposited is at the grocery store when we buy certain products. We just don't seem to shop much at the stores that are partners. But hey, every little bit counts. There's no money like free money.

Do you have the Upromise charge card? I've found it adds up alittle more quickly using their card.
