Hey Ben...how 'bout giving him a break? I mean...the tears are soaking up the forum pages and threatening to short out my keyboard!
I too noticed unusual activity over the week-end... must be e-gremlins! |

As far as I can tell things seem to be running as normal. I'll watch it this weekend to see if anything happens.
Sorry not a better answer, let me see if I find any e-gremlins. |

I do notice some quirkes in the system, like being able to oversell a stock. But I try to avoid such conflicts when trading in the SIM.
It's weird that you were able to sell stocks or buy when the markets were closed. |

Well here is the proof that it happened on Saturday.....
and here is what the stocks did.......
Personally I got hosed and the site administrator either doesnt know what to do or he doesn't care.................
I think I am done using this simulator, I mean it never ends right, my percentages for the last 5 months have not been anywhere close to what the reality of it is and NOBODY cares enough to fix it.
Its really sad when people who are running sub contests for this website actual do more for it than the Site Administrator does. Its really pathetic here now....... We dont talk about stocks here, we talk about the "secret society" and share shitty experiences with the Simulator. |

Sorry for all the problems Vetelmo, you are one of our most prominent and active members. Unfortunetly the sim does hiccup at times for unknown reasons, but the majority of the time things run pretty smoothly. I'll go in and manually enter those trades for you if you want.
I personally would like to apologize to everyone for my lack of activity in the past couple months. Things have been hectic at work and in my personal life recently. In any case you are my "Customers" and I would like to help in any way I can.
I know it's been a long-time coming, but I hope to have limit orders in place before the summer. I've been talking to Dave and it should get done.
Anyway, thanks for being here...eInvesting is nothing without it's members. |

According to my calculation your buy orders only amount to $17,792.50 plus $50 in commissions. If your Port value is $900K but your net worth is $1.4M, you should have about $500K in cash. I dont know why there was no CASH available for the transaction, but given the quirks of the SIM, something is definately wrong.
BTW the difference you would have gained or loss would not have made a big impact on your percentage in a whole. So even if Ben does adjust your trades, the impact on your month percentage is minimal.
I do agree with you that we dont really talk about stocks, like other boards or forums. I came to this site in hopes on getting some Hot Tips, but found most people are too competitive to share anything, until it's too late. If anything I use the Tips I get from other sites to test my theories on this SIM. |

It's not even the matter of e$'s or how it would have effected my portfolio, it's the point I was making that nobody cares to update the website and fix the errors. Instead, we get the ole shrug of the shoulders routine. I know the site is run on Ben's pockets, but it's like buying a car and not ever taking care of it but think it will be fine on it's own. Why bother??
We cant set limits or our stocks either, or I would still have a positive portfolio return right now. On another website, investing the same exact stocks but since I am able to set stops/limits and I was able to save my portfolio. Which btw I won $100 because of being able to set stops/limits a few months back.
I dont care anymore, obviously Ben doesnt, so why should I??? lol
Im leaving all my money in one stock and Im not going to care if the stock goes to zero or 100, it doesnt matter because you have to be the day trader type to use this simulator and apply it to real world situations.
