Thought I'd introduce myself. I am late 20's, working for the USDA (not a get rich job, but one I enjoy), unmarried, no kids.

As far as experiance goes I inherited a decent sum back in the early 90's when i was just in my teens but didn't seriously start managing it until 2000. I've had a full stock portfolio (mostly traditional performers reccomended by my advisor that did fine, but not great and weathered the downs well) then went to mutual funds as it got smaller due to selling off to pay for college (mutuals have teated me better overall and i've weathered the ups and downs decently). So far I've been going through Merrill, but would like to start investing a small portion in stocks again under my control (maybe $5k total for the time being). For the moment, before I go wagering real money on my own, I am starting to play around with models and getting some better experiance picking.

I tend to be a longer term investor, I don't panic, but I also don't always know when to get out
