| I think I just need the basics on how to manage my money first, before I do any major investing. I tend to do a lot of debit card impulse buying, and need tips on how to curb this. |

Both.
Financial managers are there to help you manage your money in any number of ways. By outlining savings plans, or investment strategies.
Naturally, different managers may be geared towards a certain focus, but I would even suggest talking with your bank about this. Many of them have very reasonable management systems in place for their clients. |

Recently, various people I've talked to said they have multiple checking/debit & savings accounts to manage their money for different goals, different bills. Like the old "envelope system" for managing money. My bank will let me have one other debit card account as they said, having more than that might seem like I may be trying to defraud people with multiple Mastercfard (debit) cards.
I thought the same thing. Is this normal for banks to let people have multiple accounts & people to have them? |

| Sitting down and writing out a spending plan or budget is the first step toward controlling your money and your spending. Start by taking a month and writing down every time you spent money. You will often be surprised at how much goes for junk. |

| The one we had while my husband was still alive was able to help us in both areas. |
