Here is a little about them:
"Mentor Graphics Corporation provides software and hardware design solutions that enable companies to develop electronic products worldwide. The company develops, manufactures, markets, sells, and supports electronic design automation products, and provides related services to design, analyze, simulate, model, implement, and verify the components of electronic systems. It markets its products and services primarily to companies in the military/aerospace, communications, computer, consumer electronics, semiconductor, networking, multimedia, and transportation industries. The company's products are used in the design of wire harness systems and semiconductors, such as microprocessors, field programmable gate arrays, and memory and application specific integrated circuits; and printed circuit boards. Its products are used in the design and development of various electronic products, including automotive electronics, video game consoles, telephone-switching systems, cellular handsets, computer network hubs and routers, signal processors, personal computers, 3-D graphics boards, digital audio broadcast radios, smart cards, and products enabled with the Bluetooth short-range wireless radio technology, networking technology, and MP3 players."
I have been watching this one since October when they were around $8.50 and they are now $13.68, right at it's 52 week highs. They recently had their earnings report and the stock did well afterwards. For my eInvesting portfolio, last month i bought in @ $10.57 and sold @ $12.99 and this month I bought it again @ $13.19. I think it has pontential to reach 16 or 17 by the end of the summer and near 20 by the end of the year.
Any thoughts? |

| I sold my position on this stock today and had a 4% gain on it. Maybe I should have waited one more day but I have a feel it's going gap down a little, most likely next week. |

My two cents is that the stock is overpriced and you probably shouldn't be holding it. I think it has an undeserved premium of about $2 which you can in no way justify, and you need to be pretty optimistic on this stock to price it much above $10.
Gap down, trend down... all that matters is it should be trading for less in the near future. |

Yeah, I am not totally confident about this one, which is why I got rid of it today. Thanks for your input! |

| I hate to buy in at the 52 week high of any stock especially in the computor related sector. Take the description you posted and it could be applied to almost any stock in this sector. |

| On monday this stock dipped below the $13 level and then came back to right around where i bought it recently (and sold it for a gain) and it has held it's ground pretty much the rest of the week. |

Looked at it a little more in depth and...
MENT @$13.20
52 week $13.91 - $7.85
Institutional ownership 98.8%
80 million shares outstanding
94.5% float
eps $.05
p/e 262.4
beta 3.61
stock scouter rating of 10
This stock doesn't make any sense as far as having the highest rating possible from msn moneycentral |

So are you thinking that this stock should have a much higher value? |

No, there are conflicting stats.. like extremely high inst. ownership and a p/e over 200 but it has an extremely good rating! Why the rating of 10? |

| I have no idea, lol. But I have thought for along time that this stock would take off like some of my other favorites that I have been watching. |
