I think using coupons at the grocery is a great way to save. My problem is that I do not actually save that money in an account. I just chalk it up as more money for me to spend somewhere else. the challenge: take that money and put it in an account!

I definately need to start using coupons. You would think with 3 kids I would find a way to save money any way I can, but I am so busy I can't find the time to clip them all, and then remember to bring them with me!!

I save money with the coupons I use at the grocery store, but unfortunately, I am not always good about putting that money up after, I use it somewhere else. I also try to put all change in a can instead of spending it. Every little bit helps.

Something I have just recently started doing is this: when I pay for something with cash, I save the dollar bills. I always pay for whatever with a larger bill then put the dollar bills back. We're saving for a Disney trip, so once I had a small amount gathered ($40) I cashed those in for Disney dollars. That way, I am not tempted the blow the money. It really adds up quickly!

I dont get a paper delivered so I dont get the best coupons and when I do come across coupons I tend to forget them at home! They are of no use when you are standing in the frozen food section with them on your desk.

I use coupons a lot Very Happy I think they're a great way to save money. I even belong to a couple of trading groups to get extras. I total up whatever I saved in coupons, and then I 'pay' myself that amount - I put half in my ING account (to use for either a Disney trip or a honeymoon) and half in a fund for the wedding (it's still 2 years away, but the costs are so high, now!).

Plus - you can get so much stuff for free/nearly free! I once got 48 boxes of Frosted Flakes for $6!! Shocked I gave some to my mom for my brothers, some to the local church youth group for their breakfasts, some to a food pantry, and kept a few boxes for us.

I love using coupons. But usually when I can match the coupon up with a weekly sale. Then you can stock up on grocery items for next to nothing!

Coupons are extra great when you can match them to the store's sale ~ and even better when you can find a double coupons store!
