Guys, i've been looking everywhere...cant find anyone that has pinkies or OTC availables.

all the online brokers deal with stocks over a dollars, and i'm looking at this 1 stock that is .0025 and no one will let me buy online...i have to call to a real broker to buy...how annoying.

anyone have any other sites that could be of good use?

scottrade wont let me trade this stock by the way...and i thought they traded everythong.

Which brokers have you tried? If you can post (or PM) your stock symbol, I can try to see if I can put in a buy order at E*Trade. I just tried entering an order for a stock currently trading at 0.001 and it was willing to take it.

Yeah, online I can buy any stock that has a symbol. Are you trying to trade on line or in person?

geb, i tried scotttrade, and it wont let me purchase the stock online. I went to see a price quote, and it says .00 because its under a penny...so it doesnt even show the real price.

I tried sharebuilder, etrade, and scottrade...ETRADE says it right underneath the stock symbol "this stock is not available through etrade" and one in sharebuilder said the same thing.

Keep in mind, its not just the price that is a problem for some online brokers...its also the fact that they are pink sheets too.

Also, i called scottrade, and they said if they cant accept it online, then you can do it by phone...

Anyway, Ameritrade has it, I just deposited 2k via ACH, direct bank deposit from my savings...takes 5 days to clear..which sucks. But atleast I know that the stocks are available for trade.

Thanks guys.

I was able to enter a trade (didn't actually confirm the order) with E*Trade using the symbol without the .OB after it.

yes, actually now i remember that ETRADE was one of the ones that was able to trade with the stock i wanted...however....it had some quarterly charges that I didnt like since I knew i'd be below the minimum balance all the time.

I endedup signing with ameritrade, account maintenance fee was less, and no balance, just have to wait the 5 days before I can trade on non-marginable stocks.

Care to tell us anything about this penny stock? I'm always intrigued by people's reasons for buying them.

I am actually looking into investing in a few penny stocks. I have a system that seems to work decently in the stock pickers challange. I think pennystocks can be good investments but it is a lot harder to get all the information on them when researching.

And what you can find is often suspect anyway. There is little to no validation of anything posted on these stocks, and not much recourse if something is posted turns out to be wrong.
