Ask a neighborhood realtor.
The best way to determine what a piece of real estate is worth is to determine what is currently being paid for similar property. So, in an effort to introduce themselves to you and make a favorable impression should you ever decide to use a realtor, most agents will be happy to prepare a free Comparable Market Analysis for you. This is a list of homes or building of similar age, location and square feet~ and what they sold for. |

| If you want to research it, like the above poster said, you can go onto mls.com and look up your area, and homes in the neighborhood etc. |

| In our county you can go to their website and type in an address and find out the assessed value on any home in the county. |

| Even though you can figure out the general idea of value of your home this way- it's been amazing to me lately how many homes Ive heard have sold for much more than their value. |
