Thanks Nelaina!

At some point I'd like to have an alert feature too. That way if a stock hits a certain price you could be emailed to let you know it time to buy or sell.

yes! a target price alert would be super!

thanks for responding! Very Happy

This would be a quantum lear forward above anything Ive seen yet!! Very Happy

Or you could make the system to handle stop orders, so when it reaches a specified price it sells automatically. Now that would be a quantum leap forward. Very Happy Surprised

Is that the same as a stop LOSS order? or work the same way?

A stop order can be implemented by a simple limit order. A trailing-stop, now that would be a work of beauty. Smile

I was actually surprised that you couldn't sell partial shares, it would open the door for more strategy options

It would be nice to be able to buy stocks that contain a dot in their symbol

You can. Just enter the number of shares that doesn't exceed your total holdings and you can sell. The e$10 purchase commission is allocated between the remaining shares and the sold shares based on how many you sell. You are charged a full e$10 for the sell trade.

You cannot currently combine two purchases into one sale. But you can certainly sell partial holdings.

If there is a stock trading over $2 per share that includes a dot in the share symbol, please post it. Smile The decision was made to avoid penny stock trading here, at least for the time being, and most OTC stocks, pink sheets, and other "cheap" stocks are most easily identified by the dot in their symbol.

Penny stocks also drop out or change symbols very frequently. As we don't have any sort of subscription process, any symbol change has to (currently) be handled manually by the board admin.

Options have a dot, but they are all .X and therefore can be identified. There is a plan to allow options trading sometime later this year.

I watched the movie "Trading Places' several times and enjoyed it immensely, but I really don't fully understand the ending. It looks like they really nailed the Dukes and literally put them in the street. Can anyone explain to me what they actually did? I'd probably enjoy the movie even better if I knew and finally be able to explain it to my girlfriend, she's been asking and I can't really shed much light on it for her except for the fact that their plan was sweeeeet.

Shocked

I got absolutely handled practice trading options, I was hot for the first two days and thought I was golden sh--, and then the bottom fell out of everything I had, literally. There is no feeling quite as unique as seeing "Loss: 100% - $103,000"

I just deleted my account, it felt liberating. Surprised

Something I was thinking about today looking at my trade history. Is it possible to change the layout so that a portion shows up instead of the entire history on one page? Last 50 trades or so per page? Last 30 days per page? Current month? Something to that effect, lol.

**Not all of those options, just some suggestions for ways to break it down.
