I'm not really sure why you can't find the button, so I'm going to review the whole process for you, okay?
1. Go to your tumblr page.
2. Click the Customize button at the top right corner of the page.
3. There should be a toolbar that comes up on the top of the page, and there'll be a tab that says "Theme."
4. There's three buttons that appear on the bottom of the box that comes out when you click the "Theme" tab.
5. The middle button should be the one that says "Use Custom HTML."

Then you'll be able to enter in your own HTML codes.
