| Many financial advisors blame too-easy credit as the reason behind the huge amount of personal debt people are carrying these days. Have you ever gone on a cash-only basis? Could you give up every single credit card? |

I definitely could not. I try my best to keep good track of my finances and using credit cards wisely is a part of that. I get two benefits from using credits: rewards and accruing interest on money that would otherwise be going towards my purchases. Not only that, I can protect myself from poor service or defective products by being to charge back unacceptable business practices.
If you are not financially saavy enough to manage a couple of credit cards, you may also have other problems in other areas of your financial life. |

Heck no. CCs are good investments, provided you use it wisely. I earn 5% on my everday goods and 1% on all others. Also, by postponing my payment for a month, that also gives me 1 month of free interest on my money (potential earnings/interest).
Although I do joyride and go on roadtrips cause I don't feel guilty being that I am getting 5% back (I know, it sounds retarded, I'm losing 95%, but my mind only focuses on that rebate) |

I couldn't go without a credit card...I'd be running to the ATM too frequently! Plus, I prefer to not keep too much cash on me, a hangover from living in less nice neighborhoods.
Besides having it to pay for things, I also like being able to see my expenses for the month in a clear manner on my statement. It's helpful in a number of ways! |

I'll accept your 5% if you feel guilty.
Hmm, your out of work then I'd feel bad. PM me if you want to work putting to use all that hubablu that taught you in grad school.
Do you know who ishikawa was? The spelling might be off though it sounds right.
How about Demmings?
I honestly might like to check out your resume and make a job offer. |

I only have a debit card, no credit card now, but thats because I'm in massive debt at the moment after being ill and unable to work for a while.
I don't miss my credit card, but if I ever stood to loose the debit card facilities I'd go insane - I use mine for a lot of online purchases, and could never go back to only using cash. |

I tossed all my CC's and Im better for it. If i want it and don't have cash, I don't get it. Plain and simple.
I pay cash up front because it just kills me inside to know how much interest goes into credit purchases. Especially when it comes to cars(used). |

| I only use a debit card. Credit Cards I believe are a bad thing mainly because of the debt that can be acquired. |

Credit Cards are a tool. You can use them to your advantage, or hurt yourself playing around.
I currently hold 2 credit cards. In the past 3 years I can confidently say I have paid credit bills in full on a regular basis. I have never allowed CC companies to take advantage of there high interest rates. Doing so, i have estabilshed good credit for future needs.
My philosophy, do not make a purchase that you cannot pay for. |
