I guess the lowest risk investment, would be a savings account, but i gues that is just what it is, savings, not investing. I believe that a good offence is the best defence, and if you have the knowledge even the riskiest investment wont be that risky

Low risk? Bonds, long term savings, slow growth mutual funds.
Even a steady stock can fluctuate a fair bit, I would use a mutual fund instead, unless you're planning on building your own portfolio.

If you want really low risk (as in no risk) try investing in one of the on-line banks that offer great savings rates. The two that I am familiar with are www.ingdirect.com and www.emigrant.com

I consider US Savings bonds as low risk investing. Also local Muncipal Bonds are a good way to go, along with Mutual Fund Accounts.

Google is actually a pretty high risk investment.

If you want the lowest possible risk, go with a savings account, CD, or Bond. The federal gvm't won't default on its obligations, and if a bank shuts down, you are protected by the FDIC. Mutual funds are another good alternative, although you would want to choose wisely. A high grade bond fund is a lot less risky than a small cap growth international fund. It's all relative, but if you want to keep principle in tact and just earn interest, choose a bond mutual fund.

consider invensting online.... doesnt hurt if you invest in appropriate amount with e-gold....

Johnonhyip.com - gives you 1.7% daily(compounding)
SyncInvest.com - give you 2%+ a day

Yet you have to watch out. non of them are risk-free. All carry a certain amount of risk.

Another option is money doubling. Goes well of me and other users.

Look at the posting regarding i-bonds. They are one of the lowest-risk long term investment out there. Another excellent low-risk investment is paying down any debt that you have. In fact, debt paydown probably has the best risk/reward ratio of any investment you can make.

If you are looking at bond funds, remember that the lowest volatility is with the funds that have the shortest average weighted maturity.

Hope this helps
