Hi folks,
Here we go again, with this age-old argument .....
Many "investors" are in stocks for the long haul and
find comfort in all the nitty-gritty details of quarterly
and annual reports, containing mountains of
fundamental information ... as they tend to trade
infrequently, they have the luxury of time to study
and digest such fundamental details, before they act.
-----
For most "traders", only the IMMEDIATE news about a
stock seems to be relevant ... like a drilling update on
a well going down for an oiler .....
Fundamentally, that sort of news can only be found in
quarterly and annual reports, MANY WEEKS AFTER
the event ..... however, such news is reflected in the
charts IMMEDIATELY ... !~!
So, short-term traders are more likely to be using
technical analysis, learning about the fundamentals
in a particular stock, as they continue to trade it.
-----
A more balanced approach is to use a combination
of both, particularly with regard to the financial
resources of a company ... cash at bank, capital
raisings, cashflow, sales figures and ongoing
reserves for miners and oilers, for example.
-----
Now, we also have ANOTHER, INDEPENDENT trading
tool, that can be used in conjunction with BOTH
fundamental and technical analysis ... that is,
TIME CYCLE ANALYSIS or astroanalysis.
Using astroanalysis to complement either FA or TA,
we can often find some critical "time and price"
clusters, giving important target zones, which
enable us to act BEFORE the masses take fright
and head for the exits, in panic ... !~!
Gann and Sepharial were pioneers in this field and
with modern charting programs, we can easily see
how time and price patterns come together, on the
charts.
Fundamentalists can also use astroanalysis to
complement their fundamental analysis and make
better entry and exit decisions, as well.
have a great weekend
paul
