THERE WERE A FEW MS tidbits that come out of this IDF, most notably about Win64. The most interesting is that I got confirmation from a bunch of Microsoft and non-Vole people that Win64 will indeed be brought out in April. WinHec is in April. Do the mathematics.
The other random nugget that was new to me is the codebase that Win64 is built from. Rather than XP, Win64 is derived from Server 2003, which means at the very worst, it will have all the 'security' enhancements and other features that spring forth from it. The wait is nearly over
