Hi folks,
It is possible that a Country-specific board section could be created if enough users demonstrate an interest. I recall seeing a few canucks wandering around here on eInvesting and I thought this could be a good way to test if there is interest in this idea.
If you're Canadian and would like to see a small section of the board to discuss the TSE and some financial issues that hit those of use north of the border, then please post so we can start looking at our options.
Take care!
*Mods, please feel free to move this post where necessary* |

Hello Emily!
Two Canadians is a start. I took a quick scan through the users list and there are a number of others that will hopefully find their way back to this thread. |

The more and more I think about it, the more I still believe this is a great idea. A place to discuss online Canadian trading... tax implications/ideas, etc. It's a lot harder to find decent Canadian information, so it would be nice to gather people that you could ask first-hand. I truly hope more become interested in this idea! |

You could send a PM to others in the memberlist and they will get an email letting them know they have a PM (Unless they have the option turned off).
Something like this my be the inspiration they need to get active. |

I would love that! Are there big differences between the TSX and the NYSE? |

Overall no, not that I am really aware of.
The idea behind a Canadian section would be that the stock fluctuations would occur more on local news and allow for more debate and discussion with a Canadian background. There are some significant Canadian companies that really are never discussed on these boards, partially because I doubt they are listed on the NYSE or Nasdaq. |
