I have a quick question about what price we are going to use to end the month with. Is it the price that the stocks closed at 4:00 P.M. Eastern Time or is it 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time. I only bring this up because if we use the 4:00 close then Vetelmo will get second place and I will be in third. If we use the price taken from the close of After Hour trading then I will be in second and he will be in third. I dont really mind which one is used but I think we should decide this for the future.

Winners paid!

As far as when to end it we should probably stick with the last trading day of the month. But it's up to Vet since it's his contest. Wink

2nd - AAPL +12.69% Geb
3rd - NVTL +12.07% Vetelmo

Ben will add the e$ to your accounts soon! Smile

IFO held their gains, AAPL went big in the begining of the month, dipped in the middle and came back to take second. NVTL held the top spot for most of the middle of the month and CMO started making it a close race for thrid towards the end. XMSR got blasted at the end of the month and VPHM never stood a chance. I thought HDI would be more of a contender but it wasn't. Wink

And the rest of the picks go:

4th - CMO +8.79% Yogi
5th - CX +3.09% Nelaina
6th - YHOO +1.07% Dave

7th - IIJI -1.46% Im not WB
8th - HDI -2.02% Ben
9th - ELY -7.09% nmbrando
10th- XMSR -9.52% Grim
11th - VPHM -11.34% Frusnak

Thanks to all who participated!! Wink Don't forget to get in on May's challenge!!!

Cooolllll Yay I am happy to win but.......

Not that it really changes things but for the record on my pick IFO from 10.22 to 12.94 I believe it is actually a 26.614% increase (7% is a big slight). Wink

Here is the US ARMY Infantry Websites percentage change calculator..... https://www.infantry.army.mil/infantry/fb_info/calculator/percentchangecalc.htm

Now, that I look at it I think you posted all the percents wrong. You take the diference of the two numbers and divide by the starting number and multiply by 100 to change it from a decimal to a percentage.

Ok wait! So the website you set up is wrong? Not a biggie I can go back and do the math myself but I want to make sure before I go blazing into it. Smile PM me if you like.

Thats weird 'cause I thought you did it yourself, I never saw those numbers on the site..... The leaderboard is showing the numbers I just gave to you. Maybe your browser is set not to update everytime it hits a page unless it see's a change and it won't see the changes 'cause that is embedded code that is imported through a wrapper. Check your settings, The entire world should be using Firefox, support open source. Wink

OK, I had just woke up when I made that post above. Now, that I've had time to think about it-----please don't make changes to your browser settings. I need to impliment some type of code change that will force these cache intensive browsers to update the page everytime they hit or refresh it. So, we can use yours as a tester when I make the change, there is several ways to do this I'll PM you when I am ready for you to try it again. Sorry about the confusion, ironing this one out should make it much more enjoyable for you and others with the same settings as you on their browsers. Smile

Read my post at the top of the page. The difference on who should get 3nd and who should get 3rd will be whether we count ah trading on the last day of the month or not.

Well, I think for the main game we're going with the last day of trading numbers since we don't run the updates other than during trading hours.

You can run your contest here either way though. Wink

It's the last trading day of the month. Wink which was Friday at 4pm EST. There was a difference in 2nd and 3rd but not a big deal. Everyone's percentage was pretty close to what I posted before and the only change in place would have been between 2nd and 3rd.

I thought I had a reply in here already stating the difference but apperantly my computer, connection and I are having disagreements. lol

The April contest is over, and someone already had picked YHOO for this game anyway. Wink

Changed the topic type from Announcement to Normal as the April contest is over. People can still post here, but there's no need to "pin" the topic to the top of the page.
