Forex is currency trading and can be highly volitile.
A Forex company is interested in advertising with us. Do you think thats right for us or should I hold out for eTrade?
Anyone interested in Forex? |

| I don't see anything wrong with advertising Forex as long as the pay is good. Would that stop eTrade from wanting to advertise with this website? |

i agree with the other two...i would love to learn more about FOREX, I have tried to learn from a website but it didnt sink in. Maybe if I had exposure to someone with experience trading in this market it would help. And if you have FOREX advertising that may bring more people with that sort of knowledge
I say go for it |

What do you mean by "advertising with us"? I know from time to time FOREX sites pop up on the ad banner at the top of the screen, but how would a partnership with this other site be integrated into the current eInvesting format? |

Well, it would be signup based ads. I've turned down gambling advertisers, but forex is different. Mostly I just wanted opinions...I don't want to lose the sites focus.
I should probably just follow my instincts. |

It is a rich man's game. I explained this on another thread. It is easy to get into and the trades are free, basically a pip spread puts you in the market at a loss position not a big deal really. Here is the big deal... You can make a ton of money if you are prepared to take huuuuuuuuggggggeeeeee losses. Just like stocks you look at fundamentals and technicals and forecast a market momentum. The problem is it is designed to beat the little guy with normal psychological aspects out of his money because even if you can call the general direction it will go, your margin has to be deep enough to take the wildly swinging whip saw action it makes as it moves thus shaking most people out. You have to have nerves of steel with the mentality of a bulldog and be prepared to hold a severe loss for quite awhile sometimes. But I don't see why you couldn't let them advertise, they let everyone know how risky it is in their disclaimers. The trial periods and free tradestations are fun and give people additional trading experience. Many of them let you trade small percentage marginals so you can limit your losses/gains.
It's really intense and movements are incredible. Thats why I am here, after two years I gave up trying to figure out a winning strategy with money markets and decided to try stocks, they are easier to research and work with. My true investing love lies with my first ---commodities---, call me crazy, I just can't shake her off, she's just so unforgiving but, endless fortunes are luring me back, the lustre of gold and silver has caught mine eye.

I don't see a problem with allowing a FOREX advertiser... I just like details before I form an opinion. |
