It seems like the worst thing to do, short term, is sell off bad performing stocks...at least for that month and the following one.
After that you should see some improvements as long as you've done your homework and the market doesn't go grizzlie.... Shocked Confused

I agree.

My porfolio percent val was better than last month by about 4%. Still I ended negative about 1.2-4 % overall. This time I'm holding on as long as I can to most of my positions and added three more that I hope perfom well.

Good Luck everyone, and congrats to Peising.

Looking at my stock evaluation tarot card reading......
I feel this month should be better. Laughing

My stocks tanked last month. I figure that was just setting up for a nice rebound this month. Laughing I'll be happy if I end the month positive... even happier if I can finish in the top 3 like I did a few months ago.

Benjamin: have you considered splitting up the prize, doing a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place price? I'm not requesting it, really, just wondering if you had thought about it at all. The winner-take-all isn't bad.

Mr Frusnak- I'm smelling grizzlie real strong right now, but there should be a bountiful spring hunting season after that. We're getting close to April... and we all know what that means.

I'm happy you finished the month on a strong note, stick with your winners! My winners hurt me today just as I predicted earlier, but I also think things got sold off way too much today... Who loves Apple at $68.50, Taiwan Semi at $9.50 and is starting to get more interested in RIMM at $70.50? So much to buy, so little money... I may need to make a margin call to a friend. Smile

Wow, didn't realize how many e$'s you've got invested.

I had about half a million for most of Feb. if I remember correctly, and I just took in 50,000 more e$. Right now I am looking for more buying opportunities, I expect to have a portfolio of close to 600,000 e$ by the end of the month and need to diversify as I am too heavily overweight in some sectors.
