I think the market will stay like this for the next few months. It should be interesting to see what happens with the energy sector.

I dont mean to make excusses but id still be at the 8.8% gain i started with if i hadnt bought 5000 of a stock but im still a lot lower than usual, but geb is is right, we seem to have hit slow spot. Its starting to look like staying with a positive return is an accomplishment in itself.

January is often a good month. It was an extremely good month here. Smile I think that rather than being a true bear, this is just a more normal month. Ask me again at the end of the month.

I think we are seeing general wariness due to mixed earnings reports and oil prices. While my portfolio certainly won't reflect specific trends right away (if at all), I do think there are some decent values out there, and the recent volatility should have any trend trader drowning in possibilities.

Well, for those in the red I think it'll work the same way, if you throw a bunch of e$ in your portfolio it'll actually bring you up (closer to 0) so now may be a good time to diversify. Wink

I am learning from my mistakes. I was at 5.96% on feb 3 but chinese stocks pulled me down specially CTDC and CAAS.

Trying my best to first get into positive.

I have two stocks this month, as opposed to one from last month. One is up, the other is down. I have more shares of the "up" stock than the down, therefore my net is black. But it's close, as will likely jump around a lot. Smile

I made all my trades this month. Smile If you buy enough shares (I bought 400 of one, 1000 of another) then the commission price doesn't have much of an impact once the stock starts to move.
