Hmm, I wonder if we need to look at creating a screen that lists who owns what items.

I don't think that would be a bad idea, not all the info is displayed and its kind of tedious clicking through a bunch of people to see who owns what.

I was thinking of starting a forum called The Market Place. That would give people a way to connect with each other so they can buy, sell, and trade items with each other. If it is possible?

Very possible, I could do it now, but until there is more call for trading between members I fear the forum would be mostly empty.

As I see more members buying and selling this forum will eventually be implemented.

I actually offered e$6000 for someone else's vacant land here so I don't think I'm inclined to sell at this time. Cool

Hey Dave, how about one of your Vacantland for 6,000 e$?

Okay, since I'm being accused of being a mogul Wink I'll take you up on your offer. e$6000 for one vacant land.

I am also going to offer two shacks for sale. These shacks have been sitting on the corner of my seaside acreage, so they have a nice airy smell to them. Sure they might lean a bit, but it's better than living in a cardboard box.

The price for each of these shacks (as in individual price) is only e$25,000. You might say, "What?" Shocked The current price of a shack is only about e$17,500 and change. Why would I pay over 42% more than current market price for one of your shacks?

First of all, property increases in value each month, so as long as you hold it for about 4-5 months or so you'll see the price of a shack cross north of e$20K and keep going. But that's not enough, where's the extra value?

Well, it goes like this. I've lost my stamp collection (current value according to the store inventory of e$9834) and it's in one of these two shacks. And I don't know which one it's in. Wink

showtime130, the vacant land is yours as per your offer of e$6000. You're under no obligation, if you don't want it please post and let me know.

The shack collection goes on sale at the end of the week. Here are the rules. Shack 1 is e$25,000. Shack 2 is the same price. Both of them must be sold before either sale will be completed. They must be purchased by two different people, in other words you can't pay e$50,000 and buy both shacks with the guarantee that one of them has my missing stamp collection inside. Once I have takers for both shacks the sale will be completed, and one person will take possession of a shack and a stamp collection, while the other gets an overpriced shack. Smile But if you hold it long enough, it will appreciate in value (assuming the rules don't change Wink). By my calculations you will break even in about 9 months, and in about 10 months you'll be ahead.

So, any takers? First person to respond gets to choose which shack you want, second person takes the other.

A question, do it matter how much property you have to get the 4%? Example if you have 4 Vacantland properties do you get 4% of all of them together or is it 4% for each?

The value of the individual property increases, so it doesn't matter how many you hold. As an example, the desert land costs e$1000 right now. After a 4% increase, it will be worth e$1040 for each. So if you owned e$5000 worth of desert property, you'll be worth e$5200.

Yes, but are you offering a 50% chance to end up with a rare stamp collection as well? Wink

The offer expires this Friday, May 5th. So far nobody seems interested.

Offer closes at midnight eastern time tonight. Smile Details repeated below in case you missed the original post.

This offer was originally made in April, and the price of a shack has since increased to e$18,249, and the value of the stamp collection has increased to e$10,129. So for e$25,000 you're getting a 50/50 chance of getting a value of e$28,378... or e$18,249. Wink

Nobody took me up on the offer, so I've sold all my shacks back to the property store, and the stamp collection too. I even sold a vacant land. I now have a balanced portfolio of 10 Seaside Properties, 10 Forests, 10 Mountain View properties, and 10 Vacant lands. Oh, and the limit of 5 Barren Desert properties too. Cool
