I won't sell off my positions. I am in it to see how much e$ I can make. Not to win a game. If I win that is great but I am going to be agressive in my trading as I already have been. At current count I have over 20 buys and sells this month already.

this may not be a popular suggestion but....

Since you have to post 10 times a month now maybe the amount of e$ you get per post should be lowered or put a cap on it after so many posts. Last time I posted it was e$280 per post. I haven't checked out the e$ store yet but I guess that would be the next logical thing to do. One of the many reasons I signed up here is that it was realistic, for me anyway starting out with small money, but now if I dump a load of useless posts I can have mucho denero to play with.

Also on all the other forums I am a member of I post about as little as I do here, I read more than I post, but they don't like people to "troll" posting useless information. I understand your desire to get more people to be active on the forums but don't you think that after a while the forum while be sinking with useless posts?

People will post useless things even if e$ is not paid out. I think that it is the best setup possible at this time. I know it used to be 100e$ per post. Now it is 200e$ a post with a few cents for each letter that you type. I do not think that trolling has gotten out of had yet but I could see it becoming a problem in the future.

We are on the lookout for spam and trolls. It hasn't been too bad really. 10 posts in 30 days is pretty easy to do just by contributing your thoughts every 3 days.

I don't think we've seen too much inflation with the e$ for posts. Plus, if you think you have too much donate it to the leaders to see what they have. Smile

Sorry for my enthusiasm. I do hope, I have something to contribute and a lot to gain as well. The other boards/forums have been dead lately. I did not know you got e$ for posts, nor do I care. I used to belong to Wall Street Sports, and made a bundle in virutal cash, before they went down.

I was hoping to get a few hot leads, and more information, but more or less it's about the same. Not a whole lot of Pumping and Dumping around here, like the other boards.

BTW I'm a gambler, I got a golden arm when it comes to craps, practically a gift my friends say. Most other games are games of chance. Just becuase i'm a gambler, does not mean I take big risks. I pretty much know the odds and how much I can lose before I take a position. Almost like a sure bettor.

Sorry again, if I offended anyone, it was not my intention. Very Happy

I doubt you offended anyone. I do not really understand how to play craps but I do know a lot about blackjack. Seems like very few casino games are actually profitable to the players.

Umm, that's the point of operating a casino. Very Happy

From what I've read, blackjack is where the house has the least advantage. Of course some casinos try to change that by altering the rules. For example, I've seen houses that won't allow you to split aces, or if you do, you only get one card per ace. Others use what they call a continuous shuffle.

Not being able to split aces and then only getting one card after that is complete crap. I would never play under those types of rules. The constant shuffling is something that would also bother me. You need to look into all of the house's rules before you sit down to play.

I've seen a number of different rules. You split aces, but only once. Meaning if you get an ace on a split ace, you're done. Sitting there with a 12, and a hope that the dealer busts. Smile On the other hand, I've seen places that pay off on weird stuff, like double payout on trip 7's for 21. They're largely sucker bets, but people like to get excited about hitting something strange.

Hmm, methinks this topic might better be split with the blackjack stuff going into the "non-investing" forum. Smile I love playing blackjack, and would happily keep talking about it, but we're in the "trading simulator" forum. Laughing

Oh Dave, do you have to be a stickler about the rules? You've mentioned them at least twice in the last day or two, which is twice as much as I've ever seen. Maybe we are just getting lax in following the posting rules now that we're "vets".

Someone has to keep everyone in line, you can lay down the law at the board meetings, maybe save Ben's job, keep me and Grim from fighting, basically save the world, you know?

The most important role you play would be to keep geb's girlfriend far far away though. Laughing

I'm hoping she reads that.
