Look out now!

Alot of the new XBOX's are having glitches. The system is overheating on some of them, only a half hour after turning them on.

I'm sure it's a low percentage compared to how many they are selling, but it doesn't sound good! Wink

yes indeed it does not sound good. X-box seems to have issues with its power supply overheating and its frames freezing every 20 minutes. Interestingly even with the high cost of Xbox (499+) Microsoft is losing roughly $126 PER console sold. A recall could mean higher losses.

Xbox holds about 40% of MSFT. Even though they have sold out 300,000 Xbox's within 2 hours on launch day, I believe they may still post a loss in their next quarter.

Both Sony and Microsoft intend to make money off of their games as done so previously with Xbox 1 and Playstation 2. (they have lost money on the old consoles and continue to do so even today!)

My husband wants one for Christmas. I am not paying over $200 for a game system. I told him Santa doesn't think you have been good enough this year. Cool

Don't get me wrong, Xbox 360 is a great piece of machine. However with its current faults, you may want to wait a couple months so the bugs are fixed. I intend to purchase my next console sometime NEXT christmas. Coming spring, Sony plans to release it's next gen console, Playstation 3!. What does this mean? Xbox 360 prices will further fall. As they both compete head to head for market share, you'll be sure to get a bang for you buck around following christmas.

OOPS!! Class action Lawsuit filed, lol!
Her is a brief piece of what I read.
Quote:
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A Chicago man who bought Microsoft Corp.'s new Xbox 360 has sued the world's largest software maker, saying the new video game console has a design flaw that causes it to overheat and freeze up.
The proposed class action claims that in Microsoft's bid to gain share in the $25 billion global video game market, the company was so intent on releasing the Xbox 360 before competing next-generation machines from Sony Corp (NYSE:SNE - news). and Nintendo Co Ltd. that it sold a "defectively designed" product.

Microsoft declined to comment on how many defects they have recieved calls about. I think some people over that way must be getting really nervous, lol!

I think the media is blowing this way out of proportion. What kind of legal case would anybody have over purchasing a defective entertainment console? U can only get a refund, not billions of dollars in "pain and suffering".

Nobody I know has complained about the new Xbox.

it's mean's of making money. "pain and suffering". Pain = buying the Xbox, getting in lines. Suffering = Not being able to play Xbox after all that wait.
