Of my 2 scenarios fo da VIX it now appears dat a sharp move down on the open is possible. That would mo than likely put da VIX into sell mode which means at least a day to settle out. I would most definitely begin buying da VIX balow 9.50 on a very quick move down though. There may also be some quick trade baaahgins in da gold pigs ifn they collapse. Da Naz's foist "real" test is da majical 2452ish area...that's fer you fokes who use TA to make trading decisions. You fokes who use funnymentals....ifn I was you I'd just BUY BUY BUY any Naz rally.... specially a frenzy. Remember, da mawkets would be tellin ya things is lookin good 6 months out ifn we frenzy. As much as I hates ta waste a Fri it doan look like thisn will be black. Still too many suckas out there lookin ta git sucka'd. We gots fokes panicing cause maybe the Iphone won't be AAPL's gift ta God....we gots fokes right cheeeya at this very site sayin AKAM is a great play 20% into da Cramer pump! Shocked This leaves me ta baleave dat there be mo suckas ta sucka and maybe da suckas are evun bigger suckas than I at foist thunk they was....so I guessn dat's what they'll do....sucka da suckas. But da Reaper will be waiting fo da break o'VIX 9.50...please! Arrow doan stand in da Reaper's way when da VIX git there. Wink Twisted Evil

Mission accomplished in 5 days Captain! Laughing Da VIX breakded balow 10.00 like I thunk I knew it would, which of course means I kin lean towards purrdicktin wit confidunce into da future since all da pawts o'da machine still be woikin! Wink Laughing Now....me said dat it would be time ta buy da VIX balow 9.50....da question is Arrow When is the time and how fer balow? Confused To which I say Arrow Hold on Tonto....one question per customer. Rolling Eyes As ov right now da VIX and da less volatile MZZ are still deeply into sell mode but it "could be" aaall ova bafo tamarrah is out..But! Arrow It WILL be over bafo MSFT repotes stellar earnuns afta da close on Fri. Wink If ya's hangin in when they close da door fer da pyrotechnics, make sho ya hang by da winder. Embarassed

Looks like MSFT reports tanight...not tamarrah. Da good news fo da bears is dat MSFT's earnuns will not matta ifn da Naz can close balow 2440 taday. Ifn it do we will have da dreaded "key reversal" day like we saw wit RIMM n BRLC....a higher open, a close lower than the previous day's low. Ifn ya remember what happened wit boata RIMM n BRLC they rallied the next day.....and that was it! Wink Let's see, Naz closes at 2434.24...nice! I'm smellin da carnage in the air already! Laughing BTW, for those ov yuns lookin ta maximize losses Arrow buy da next Naz rally! Wink

I doubt da VIX gits above 11.25ish on any rallies. Did anybody but me notice the "rotational giddyness" abounding in da mawkets? The past few weeks has been nuthin mo than rotational topping. Foist they dump on the indicies by selling off what has topped out.....then they drive the indicies higher with big buys in crap that hasn't yet topped out. This coming week I'm wreckin we will see final strength in commodity plays...specially natgas plays. The top should be in for da Naz....unless one heck ova rally takes place cause dat be the ONLY thing that will create new highs dat gotta go bye bye. The VIX has a chance at holding 10.00-10.50 here....but wit AAPL needing to take out the 52 week high I doubt 10.00 holds. I'm still lookin fo sub 9.50 on da VIX but I held my MZZ long position through all this volatility. I bet it takes out da 59.53 low it set here even though they bees very little on da chawt dat says it needs to. 500 earnuns reports next week, plus da Fed, plus da employment numba on Fri....yesterday was boooooring. I think next week'll be mo excitin. Very Happy

Tawk about a conundrum of majer proportions. Ifn da Fed decides to cut rates it will tank da VIX and rally da Naz. MZZ already puttin in da signal to buy any further weakness. Bernanke to create da top ov all tops wit a rate cut? Confused Stay tuned sports fans. Embarassed

Can anybody guess what 2 days o'da week dat'll be? Very Happy

Well the theory states dat a BIG dump on Fri leads to Ma n Pa Public battlin ova da weekend....you know....stuff like Arrow "Your the one who got us into this mess! Now get us out!".....which leads to Pa Public stayin home from woik on Mon so he kin Arrow sell at any cost. Laughing As ov right cheeya right now there still be a little wiggle room fo da bulls....but da VIX be woikin its way down ta ringin da capitualtion bell. I just hope da same dang thang doan happen like what happend in Sept 2002 when da guy on da floor o'da NYSE wassa sposed ta ring da bell but just as he wasa gettin ready ta do so sum sexy yung beeeeyotch sauntered by and he lost his concentration....which took da mawkets down an estreee couple hunnert points. The VIX is a calculation of implied volatility using options contracts. "They" aren't rallying the VIX, the premium on certain options contracts is changing.
