Has anyone used this yet?

I've seen other sites with aerial/satelite photographs, but this one is BY FAR the best. Pretty much the entire earth is viewable.

My favorite thing is put my home address (I can see my house from here!) and my work and look at my horrible commute. It zooms out, flys over and zooms in on the other address. It really puts things in perspective! A friend of mine is a mountain climber and was mapping out climbing routes he's taken in Alaska and South America! Also I've found that the O'Hare terminal in Chicago is bigger than most airports entire runway system! Shocked Anyway, if you like maps this is the king.

It's at http://earth.google.com/ Dial-uppers beware though it's a 10mb initial download and then streaming data transfer so you can move all over the place without load times. Works great on broadband though.

I'd be interested to know what you find!

I haven't had too much luck with the directions part. I still use mapquest. I do check it out when I have time to get the general layout of a place I've never been before.

I can't help but notice that this could be very abusable for terrorist activities... or stalkers for that matter...

I notice some areas don't come in as clear as others, guess they are still working on it as its a beta...

I like it though, the tour was cool!
